- The Correctional Food Service Contract Monitor (CFSCM) will act as the liaison between the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction and the contract vendor
- Oversees and analyzes the performance of the contract vendor as it pertains to all aspects of the contract
- Administers the department’s contract compliance program in accordance with ODRC policies and procedures
- Works on a rotating basis from the designated regional office and travels to each of the department’s facilities that provide food services as assigned region
- Ensures the existing contract, including all amendments, are being followed
- Acts for Administrator by interacting with the vendor while monitoring their compliance with the American Correctional Association (ACA)
- Maintains records involving the contract vendor’s compliance with all contract requirements
- Develop reports and recommendations for ODRC regarding contract compliance and non-compliance
- Monitors contract vendor’s ability to comply with established time frames and meeting deadlines for correcting noncompliance
- Inspects all areas of the food service operations monthly with emphasis on sanitation, fire and safety, security, food quality, food production, menu compliance, security and of-fender programming
- Reviews weekly reports from contract vendor and takes necessary steps to resolve any deficiencies
- Prepares monthly food service reports including quarterly quality assurance reports
- Reports on any health and safety hazards
- Monitors vacancies as applicable to ensure proper staffing levels
- Serves as liaison with other state agencies
- Establishes positive working relationships
- Attends meetings, training and conferences on behalf of Administrator to stay current and remain on the cutting edge of food service operations
- Benchmarks with other prison systems to assure consistent efficient food service operations
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
- Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
