Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and driven Organization Director to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality professional service and support to county boards and volunteer leaders, helping them meet the needs of our membership in alignment with the OFBF Strategic Plan. You will play a crucial role in strengthening and expanding the presence and influence of the Ohio Farm Bureau at both the county and state levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Direction: Guide and support County Farm Bureaus to enhance their strength, effectiveness, and visibility in achieving Ohio Farm Bureau and county-specific goals.
- Membership Growth: Drive membership growth through various strategies, including annual volunteer campaigns, direct sales, and fostering strong partnerships. Drive membership growth through these strategic actions:
- Strategically communicate and implement the organization's membership action plan to achieve membership growth goals within the OD area.
- Execute direct sales strategies to drive membership acquisition.
- Implement and oversee county volunteer-driven membership campaigns to expand outreach and engagement.
- Conduct training programs for COAs and volunteers to equip them with the skills necessary for successful membership sales.
- Establish and manage a county volunteer membership recognition program to acknowledge and motivate volunteers who actively recruit members.
- Ensure adherence to the organization's brand standards and messaging guidelines across all counties within the OD area.
- Collaborate with county leaders to align programming with the organization's value proposition and four value pillars.
- Deliver regular progress reports to the regional supervisor, providing updates on membership status, addressing concerns, and supporting strategic direction.
- Volunteer Development: Collaborate with county leaders to recruit new volunteers, offering leadership opportunities and training to build and enhance volunteer leadership skills.
- Community & Partner Engagement: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including Nationwide, legislators, governmental agencies, agribusinesses, local businesses, and community groups.
- Financial Oversight: Assist county boards in managing finances, including developing annual budgets aligned with county goals and ensuring annual audits are conducted.
- Office Management: Oversee the local Farm Bureau office, managing personnel, data, finances, and correspondence to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Skills:
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to motivate, enthuse, and recognize volunteers
- Public speaking abilities
- Knowledge of financial and marketing principles
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Residence in a county within the Organization Director Territory
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of work experience in a business environment
- Knowledge or experience in agriculture
