Job Description
The Ohio State Chiropractic Association is a nonprofit organization located in Columbus, Ohio that works and advocates for chiropractic physicians. Since 1969 the OSCA has strived to promote the science, philosophy and art of the chiropractic profession by advocating for the highest standard of ethics in practice; by working united to advance the profession; by developing close cooperation among the doctors within this association for the welfare of all Doctors of Chiropractic (DC’s) and the public we serve; and by promoting desirable relationships with other entities for the benefit of the chiropractic profession.
The Ohio State Chiropractic Association is seeking a Membership and Special Events Coordinator.
Reporting to the Executive Director the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing membership growth and retention strategies to align with the association’s strategic objectives. This position will be responsible for member engagement, ensuring the highest level of service to our members, and will be responsible for planning and executing special events.
Job Duties

Develops and implements an annual events calendar, including but not limited to continuing education and regional events, webinars, and annual convention
Works with Executive Director, board, and conducts research to determine a diverse speaker offering that includes topics relevant to the chiropractic profession
Plans and executes special events including venue selection, speaker contracts, attendance at event, solicits exhibitors and sponsors, and coordinates with marketing staff to promote events
Tracks ROI of special events to direct future event planning
Issues continuing education in membership database for appropriate events.
Maintain OSCA webinar system and upload webinars to PACE.

Oversees membership data base, including tracking and reporting
Manages member invoicing and ensures timely payment and follow up
Solicits new members and sends new member welcome packet
Works with Marketing staff to plan and execute member marketing initiatives
Tracks effectiveness of member campaigns to direct future efforts
Seeks additional member benefit offerings and effectively communicates to membership
Solicits new affiliate members and works with marketing team to optimize use of affiliate members
Coordinates with Marketing Staff and Executive Director on strategies to recruit, retain and engage members to attain membership goals.

Assists members with questions/concerns – directs to appropriate association staff when needed
Assists Board Members with sending out monthly District Newsletters letters and uploads CE hours for monthly meetings
Responds to Contact Forms submitted via Constant Contact and directs, when needed, to appropriate staff member

Understands and communicates membership trends
Provides quarterly member reports

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field
18 months professional experience
Demonstrate problem solving skills, anticipate needs, determine priorities, and meet deadlines
Experience with membership growth or sales
Experience with database management
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Event planning experience
Excellent customer service skills
Team oriented and self-motivated to complete initiatives and tasks
Ability to travel for professional conferences and membership activities

Position Classification
This is a full-time position. Working hours are 9am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday. Occasional weekend and evening work may be expected. Parking pass is provided.
