We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering and project control support on vertical construction projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager to implement policies and procedures required for project success. The PE is expected to maintain a good knowledge of the contract specifications, documents and the scope of work, including subcontracts and purchase orders and to assist in development of project status reports, coordinating the complete construction and administrative requirements of the various bid packages, and profit projections. He/she needs to be able to organize the complexities into a management system that will establish, monitor, and follow up on each vendor's compliance; and orchestrating the information flows needed for each component and system to be incorporated into the project all within the time frames needed by the project's schedule.

Responsibilities
- Works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman and Crews on Project Deliverables.
- Process/manage material deliveries - ensure that materials received are properly inspected for quantity and quality and are in compliance with contract documents.
- Manage and negotiate subcontractor and material contracts.
- Assist in developing and updating the project schedule.
- Coordinate and schedule shop drawings and submittals.
- Maintain a complete and current record of submittals, approvals and re-submittals, including a file of letters of transmittal and dates of each transaction.
- High level of involvement in the operations of our cost control system and analysis of construction costs.
- Participate in monthly forecasting revenue and cost accruals.
- Accumulate all necessary data and prepare monthly pay estimates.
- Process and estimate change orders and requests for information as directed by the Project Manager.
- Follows OHLA North America policies and procedures, including safety policies.
- 1- 4 years of experience in vertical construction, with a preference for commercial, institutional, or healthcare projects.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, budgets, scheduling, and cost controls.
- Proficiency in construction management software and ability to analyze project data effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Commitment to safety standards - OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred.
