Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Consultant specializing in the Health
and Safety Module to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep
understanding of ServiceNow architecture, components, and modules and will
play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions for
the railroad industry. This role requires expertise in integrations, scripting, ITOM
modules, and ServiceNow application development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and configure the ServiceNow Health and Safety Module to
meet business requirements.
- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, workflows, and automation
solutions.
- Write and maintain ServiceNow scripts (JavaScript, GlideScript) to enhance
system functionality.
- Design and implement complex integrations with other systems using REST,
SOAP, JDBC, Mid Server, and Integration Hub.
- Work with CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and CSDM
(Common Service Data Model) to ensure data accuracy and governance.
- Utilize ITOM (IT Operations Management) modules, including Discovery,
Event Management, Service Mapping, and Orchestration.
- Build and maintain custom applications on the ServiceNow platform.
- Perform UI customization and development using HTML, CSS, and
AngularJS for the Service Portal.
- Optimize performance tuning and ensure best practices for scalable
solutions.
- Align ServiceNow solutions with business goals and IT strategy.
- Create roadmaps, governance frameworks, and best practices to drive
efficiency and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with ServiceNow architecture, components,
and modules.
- Expertise in Health and Safety Module within ServiceNow.
- Strong proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript).
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, including business
rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, script includes, and ACLs.
- Deep knowledge of integration techniques such as REST, SOAP, and
JDBC.
- Familiarity with ITOM modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, and
Orchestration.
- Experience in custom application development on ServiceNow
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and AngularJS for UI and Service Portal
customization.
- Strong understanding of performance tuning and optimization for scalable
solutions.
- Ability to develop strategic roadmaps, governance frameworks, and best
practices for ServiceNow implementations.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management
skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or Certified
Application Developer (CAD) is a plus.
- Experience working within the Railroad industry or other safety-critical environments is preferred
