Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree and five years of professional experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree and six years of professional experience
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education
- This position will facilitate regular team meetings to communicate updates, track progress, and address departmental challenges while overseeing staff performance by setting clear expectations, conducting regular evaluations, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
- Design and implement strategies to educate families on available child care options and financial assistance through the CCDF program, ensuring they understand eligibility requirements and application processes.
- Advocate for policies and procedures that remove barriers for families seeking child care assistance, with a particular focus on under served or vulnerable populations.
- Develop and distribute resources and materials to help families make informed decisions about child care, including information on quality indicators, child development, and available subsidies.
- Oversee the eligibility process for families seeking child care assistance under the CCDF program, ensuring families meet all necessary criteria for subsidy support.
- Monitor and report on family outcomes, child care usage, and program access.
- Use this data to guide improvements and inform statewide initiatives to better support families. Work closely with other state agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive services for families, such as health, education, and economic support
- Preference may be given to applicants who:
- Are bilingual
- Possess at least 5 years of experience in family services, child care, or social work, with a focus on policy, advocacy, or program management
- Possess in-depth knowledge of CCDF regulations, child care subsidy programs, and family support services
