Job-related travel is Occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree and four years of professional experience.
- OR a Bachelor’s degree and five years of professional experience.
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.
Preference Statement
Preference may be given to applicants who are bilingual and/or have 5 years of experience in Child Care Licensing with three of those in management.
Job Duties
- Oversees the licensing of all child care facilities, residential programs and child placing agencies in the state.
- Provides direct supervision and guidance to licensing staff.
- Analyzes and coordinates legal actions against child care providers.
- Coordinates activities with the Child Care Advisory Committee, other OKDHS divisions, tribal licensing, and other agencies.
- Responds to inquiries from the legislature, media, providers, and public.
