Responsible for OneNet billing and collection functions pertaining to subscribers, the Oklahoma Universal Service Program, and the federal E-Rate and the Healthcare Connect fund.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor and manage overdue accounts and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding invoices.
- Conduct thorough reviews of customer accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Initiate collection calls and emails to customers, providing excellent customer service while pursuing payment.
- Document collection activities and maintain accurate records of customer interactions in OneNet’s software system.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts.
- Generate and distribute regular aging reports to track outstanding receivables.
- Assist in developing and implementing collection strategies.
- Participate in meetings to discuss accounts receivable status and report on collection efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required. One to three (1-3) years of work experience in accounts receivable, collections, finance or a related field. Strong working knowledge of Windows, MS Excel, MS Word and databases required. Must possess excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be able to perform a variety of duties with attention to detail in a high-volume environment. Must be dependable and able to meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or other related field preferred.
Supervision
The Accounts Receivable Collections Assistant performs work under the supervision of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor.
Work Hours Agency offices are open to the public from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Monday through Friday. These are the normal office hours for Agency employees. Physical Demands
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Exhibit manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate a computer, keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Ability to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids. Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels, with or without aids. Ability to communicate clearly. Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, to bend, stoop, climb stairs, walk and reach. Must use the proper manual handling equipment including but not limited to dollies, carts and lift team members. Duties are normally performed in an office environment with a moderate noise level.
