Position Qualifications:This position requires a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Doctor of Medicine, Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the AOBOG or ABOG, Board certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and licensed to practice in Oklahoma.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in direct patient care and the management of gynecological conditions and both low and high-risk pregnancies. Appropriate effort and activity in teaching and service will also be necessary as well as a clinical record of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor.
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
The position requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively plan. Good communication and leadership skills are a positive. Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, and administration.
70% Clinical:
Attending physician in the in-patient service on a rotating schedule of 12 and/or 24 hours shifts equaling 168 for approximately 14 shifts per month. This position will cover L & D, triage, and emergency room.
20% Training:
Work with OSU Ob/Gyn Residents through the practice providing oversight of inpatient activities.
10% Administrative:
Completion of patient charts, resident evaluations, evaluating quality measures and other duties as assigned by the Chair of Ob/Gyn Department.
