EASTERN TITLE DIVISION
Job Description:
Assist and advise policy-issuing agents and company personnel in underwriting the issuance of title insurance products.
**This is a hybrid position and can work from either the Pittsburgh, PA or Wayne, PA office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Promptly review and decisively respond to policy-issuing agent inquiries which may entail finding creative solutions while operating within company guidelines and authority limits.
- Educate policy-issuing agents, their staff and customers, both in-person and remotely which may require preparation of written materials.
- Present at company continuing education seminars.
- Meet with policy-issuing agents and their staff in various social settings.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by State Manager and State Counsel.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
- At a minimum, the ability to work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Regular consistent attendance is required, which could include attendance at after hour company events.
- Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e. colleagues, policy-issuing agents, customers, and vendors.
- Must be personable, positive, and a professional representative of the Company.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Law Degree- Minimum of 3 years experience in the title insurance industry–preferably with an underwriter.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple simultaneous projects.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to keep confidences and work with confidential and sensitive information.
- Overnight business travel by air and/or automobile is required some of the time.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance is required.
- Ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday.
- Repetitive and continual typing motion is required.
