Job Description
Our residential construction company is in need of a full-time Carpenter Helper. It is imperative that you show up on time and perform exemplary work. We’re looking for a carpenter helper who is willing to learn the trade. Some experience is a plus, but not necessary. We are willing to train the right person. They must have the ability to to work at multiple job sites with other trade contractors and employees. They will be involved in all aspects of construction work using different materials. They must be willing to work overtime. A Carpenters Helper is responsible for getting to the job on time with all materials needed for the day. At the end of the day they are responsible for the complete clean-up of the job and returning the unused materials and trash to the shop. Our corporate offices are located in Sykesville, MD and we offer services in Howard County, Baltimore County, and Carroll County.

- Using tools and equipment of the trade
- Safely operate tools and machines of the carpentry trade
- Safely lift and carry heavy tools and materials
- Safely climb ladders and work at heights
- Work effectively and cooperatively with staff
Duties of a Carpenter Helper
- You are responsible for following all directions of the lead carpenter. This could include demolition, cutting, assisting with the install/setting of cabinets, assisting with hanging drywall, assisting with window/door installation and painting.
- You are responsible for being prepared in the morning with all tools and materials needed for the day.
- You are responsible for the purchasing of materials and transporting them to and from the job.
- You are responsible for keeping the shop organized.
- You are responsible for trash at the end of the day and cleaning out the trucks.
Conditions of Work
- The overall work is labor-intensive.
- Oftentimes, a lot of repetitive heavy load lifting is done such as building equipment, building materials and other tools in carpentry.

- Pass a background check.
- Pass a DOT psychical.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
