Position Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage the Oliver Alarms & Security Operations team
- Develop and Execute plan for supporting the growth of the department while maintaining acceptable overhead levels to meet company profit objectives
- Analyze operational and financial indicators to continuously improve team performance
- Ensure profitable operations with full P&L accountability
- Monitor and authorize appropriate expenditures including equipment and supplies
- Emulate Oliver culture of dedication and accountability as a foundation to success of a high
performance team - Maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Recruit, hire, and fire to build team that will accomplish departmental objectives
- Project Manage high profile and large jobs; project managers for other jobs report to this position
- Alarm Design Manager reports to this position
- Service Manager reports to this position
- Build and develop customer relationships to further departmental growth
- Assist estimators in estimating labor and planning jobs during the estimating stage
- Learn and utilize Spectrum for Job Costing; Review weekly job cost reports
- Administer wage policy as established by the corporation
- Supervise and assist in the collection of overdue or disputed accounts receivables
- Represent corporation at various associations and industry functions
- Coordination with other Oliver Departments as needed
Candidate Requirements:
- 15 years proven experience in the Fire Alarm/ Security industry
- 10 years Management/ Leadership experience
- History of building and growing strong and successful teams
- Ability to synthesize business/financial data to develop solutions
- Strong in Organization, planning, and leadership
- Superior communication and relationship building skills
- Work well in a team environment
- Strong personal desire to succeed
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Strong customer service and service delivery orientation
- Enthusiastic, goal oriented, and willingness to build upon a strong team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Energy and dedication to be a leader at Oliver
- PE, NICET III, and Electrical Licensure preferred
- 4-year college degree
- Knowledge regarding NFPA and building codes related to fire alarms and security
