Meat Cutter Duties Include:
As a Butcher/Meat Cutter, some of your job duties will include cutting, trimming, chopping and grinding meat and seafood products including whole animal processing. You will be responsible for maintaining a variety of high-quality, fresh products for our customers. You will assist with incoming product deliveries, organize coolers, and assist with ordering new product. You will operate electric meat saws, grinders and other meat processing equipment. You will provide product suggestions to our customers and assist them with special orders. Your job will be to provide our customers with exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work. You will assist with cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, tools, and equipment. Management will schedule and pay for applicant’s food handler's certification if not already certified.
Additional job duties will include wrapping, weighing and pricing meat and seafood products. You will be responsible for monitoring product quality and stocking cases with fresh meat and seafood products. You will provide customers with product suggestions, educate them on different types of meat and seafood, and provide them with preparation and cooking recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Experienced butcher/meat cutter with additional experience in the retail, restaurant, or food service industries
- Passion for providing extraordinary service
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Work Conditions:
- Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself, exposure to extreme temperatures
- Ability to use tools equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, and other equipment (unless under the age of 18)
- Required to spend long periods of time on feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law)
- Required to wear approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
