Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate systems analysis and application development activities through direct and indirect staff to identify the needs of the company.
- Direct development teams in the areas of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards, including scheduling, technical direction, future planning, and standard development practices.
- Manage all application development and support projects and tasks, including meeting scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner; maintain an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices, and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing, and implementing systems analysis and application development projects and programs.
- Assist with managing software and service vendor relationships.
- Interaction with vendors, Associates, and business leaders.
- Provide customer service with regard to technical issues and users.
- Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in leading a team of programmers/developers.
- Expertise in the AS/400 iSeries platform.
- Application development and programming experience.
- Prior experience with JDA MMS is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with SDLC and deliverables associated with each phase.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Capacity to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Competence in organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and activities, working within strict timeframes and deadlines with precision and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to remain in a normal seated position regularly.
- Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
