Adjunct ASL Educator

About the Position:

Olympic College is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach American Sign Language (ASL) courses in our Social Sciences and Humanities Division. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ASL and be able to teach using culturally responsive pedagogy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching ASL courses, primarily ASL& 121, 122, and 123, and possibly ASL 101 Fingerspelling and Numbering
• Developing and implementing effective instructional strategies
• Evaluating student progress and providing feedback

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies or a related field
• Extensive coursework or experience in American Sign Language
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
