Business Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM and Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5 PM, Closed Sunday

Shifts: Days 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Afterhours On-Call = 1 full week out of every 7 weeks

Work Hours: 40 hours per week minimum

Salary: $20 - $27/Hour, DOE

We are seeking to add an Administrative Assistant to our exceptional Respiratory team. In this role, you will deliver critical administrative support that enhances patient care and strengthens department operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Respiratory Manager and team, ensuring smooth daily operations in a retail healthcare front-desk setting.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients and caregivers, managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and front-desk duties with efficiency.
  • Handle heavy phone traffic with professionalism, ensuring timely responses to patient inquiries, scheduling needs, and departmental coordination.
  • Verify insurance coverage, obtain documentation, and assist with billing tasks, including explaining costs and benefits to patients.
  • Coordinate schedules, maintain accurate patient files and electronic medical records.
  • Develop technical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and retrieve equipment downloads for patients and referral sources.
  • Assume non-clinical afterhours on call rotation - triage calls to Respiratory Therapist as needed after a 3-6 month training period.
  • Embrace additional responsibilities and training opportunities as directed by the Respiratory Manager to support department growth and enhance patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s license in good standing.
  • Successfully pass a 7-year background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer-facing experience in a challenging front-desk environment, preferably in healthcare.
  • Experience with EMR systems or similar record-keeping software highly desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer software.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing records, schedules, and documentation.
  • Fluent in English for effective communication and execution of job responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and move lightweight equipment as needed.
  • If required, the ability to sit and operate a vehicle for tasks like supply pickups or deliveries.
  • Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
  • Must live within a reasonable commute of the workplace.
