Our Head of Planning and Allocation has significant cross-functional responsibility and the ability to build best-in-class processes, reporting, and tools.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Own sales performance of assigned categories (sales and inventory) and execute the inventory needs necessary to achieve plans.

Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement in planning processes, inventory management, sales forecasting, and other planning related functions.

Clearly and concisely communicate business performance to business leaders and cross functional partners.

Develop allocation processes across the product life cycle that ladder up to merchandise sales and inventory plans.

Collaborate cross functionally to strategically drive incremental growth, productivity, and profitability.

Collaborate cross functionally and develop tailored product assortment inventory needs that support sales trends and customer preference in each assigned category assortment, SKU productivity, item leveling, flow plans and ideal depth.

Plan and attend weekly all-hands, OTB, hindsight and annual plan build meetings, as needed.

Manage Allocation to bring selection to life on product pages.

Partner closely with cross-functional partner(s) (marketing, technology, and finance) to understand processes and to identify risks/ opportunities to ensure inventory needs are met

Identify where new process improvements may be needed.

Leverage quantitative and qualitative data, along with test-and-learn methodology, to continue to improve performance.

In partnership with tech team, seeks opportunity for tech-enabled progress to constantly improve the forecasting process and integration with Omni tech systems.

Adjust allocation strategies where needed and provide appropriate and timely direction to react to customer and business needs

Partner with cross-functional partner(s) to proactively manage inventory needs to maximize sales and inventory in tandem with promotions.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree

Strong analytical skills

Minimum 3 years' experience in planning and allocation role

Must possess strong analytical, planning, retail math and communication skills

Must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks

Must be comfortable presenting to groups including senior leadership

Retail Planning and Allocation experience required, with preferred experience in (merch type, i.e. sports nutrition, home goods, womens apparel, etc.)

3 years in retail/e-Commerce that incorporated breadth of product mix
-
“Roll-up your sleeves” execution and a “scrappy” attitude

Thrives in a high-growth and oftentimes ambiguous environment
