JOB DESCRIPTION: Market Development Representative – Residential, Food Service & Light Industrial Filtration
Location – Remote
Specific Job Function:
As a Market Developer Your primary objective will be to prospect new potential customers, identify their unique water filtration requirements, and provide tailored solutions within Omnipure’s current and future product range. Once closed, you will assist in transitioning the business to our Account Management team for long-term growth & maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop deep relationships with US-based OEM’s (Residential, Food Service, & Light Industrial), & large restaurant/ C-Store chains/Franchises to achieve sales growth objectives.
- Leverage your industry expertise and current relationships to identify customer needs and develop customized filtration solutions.
- Generate leads, qualify sales opportunities, and develop strategies to convert them into a long-term sales pipeline.
- Partner with the product development team to specify new filtration products that meet the unique needs of the food service market.
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers to ensure successful implementation of Omnipure filtration solutions.
- Conduct site visits to develop opportunities/relationships and ensure customer engagement toward business partnerships.
- Prepare timely sales proposals and quotations in response to customer inquiries.
- Collaborate with the Global Sales Director to develop and execute effective market development strategies aligned with Omnipure's overall sales vision.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop sales and brand awareness materials targeted towards the food service industry.
- Utilize Salesforce and other CRM tools to effectively manage the sales process and customer relationships.
Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Residential, Food Service, & Light Industrial water treatment products, technologies, & customer needs
- CRM or Salesforce experience is a plus
- Understanding of channel dynamics, relationships within the dealers, distributors and national accounts servicing the water filtration and treatment industry
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of business development experience in the Residential, Food Service, & Light Industrial water filtration industry with a proven track record of success.
- Willingness to prospect and cold-call.
- Demonstrated unwavering ethical character while managing challenging business deals.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business, marketing) or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of industry challenges and filtration requirements.
- Ability to influence, build and maintain strong relationships.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously, managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Must have experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point or Access)
- Must be a self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a dedication to exceeding customer expectations.
- Willingness to travel frequently to meet with prospective customers, attend industry events and participate in regular sales team meetings.
- Must live near a major airport.
