OnderLaw, a nationwide product liability and personal injury law firm based in St. Louis, is looking for a Paralegal to join our Asbestos team.
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our Asbestos department's liens and settlements team. You would work directly with attorneys, paralegals, clients, defense counsel, lien resolution vendors, and other members of our firm and team.
Duties Include:
- Responsible for working with asbestos trust administrators, defense counsel, and clients regarding liens and settlements;
- Regular communication with clients regarding status of their lien resolution and settlements;
- Maintain and organize lien, holdback and settlement information, and documentation in case management software and spreadsheets;
- Draft and process necessary correspondence and settlement documentation with clients;
- Possess strong organizational skills, including but not limited to, task prioritization; and
- Be proficient at professional verbal and written communication with clients, firm and team members, outside counsel,
- and vendors.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- 2-4 years' experience as a Paralegal with experience working with liens and settlements
- Paralegal Certificate preferred; equivalent work as a paralegal required
