Outreach Manager - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

The Outreach Manager is responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies to connect community members with health services and programs. This role involves building relationships with community organizations, event planning and marketing, and understanding priority populations needs and barriers to healthcare and wellness. This role is also responsible for the career development and management of the outreach team and interns.

Job Specific Functions:

• Event Planning & Project Management: Organize and execute outreach events. Develop related project plans by defining the scope, stakeholders, milestones, communication plan, and success criteria. Manage execution of the plan, internal and external communications, task list, and relevant data. Debrief and evaluate success of efforts with outreach team and report results to leadership.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with OCH’s mobile medical, dental, school-based teams and other departments to offer services aligned with event and outreach needs.
• Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with employers and other community-based organizations to partner in the provision of healthcare services to priority populations.
• Team Management: Supervise and support outreach staff and interns. Oversee team schedules, tasks, and timecards and responsible for team’s career development and growth.
• Health Promotion & Communications: Work closely with marketing and communications to develop culturally tailored educational materials for community members as well as marketing collateral for partners.
• Data Collection, Analysis, & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report relevant data, both qualitative and quantitative, to develop outreach strategy, evaluate success of efforts, and recalibrate as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Highschool Diploma or GED.
• Bilingual, English/Spanish
• At least 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory position
• 3 years of experience managing external partnerships and relationships on behalf of an organization
• Prioritize and organize work according to multiple and, at times, competing timelines
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Use initiative and good judgment to resolve problems and challenges
• Open to feedback and cultivates a culture of continuous learning
• Inspire trust and confidence and communicate effectively with internal and external audiences.
• Work independently, work with multiple projects and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams/SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of customer service and workplace safety
• Passion for improving the health of farmworker and/or Native American communities
• Lead human-centered design, centering the patient’s or community member’s perspective in workflows
• Travel between One Community Health clinics and community events

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in public health or similar program
• At least two years of grant writing experience
• Experience using an electronic health record
• Oregon Health Plan and Washington Medicaid Assister certification

Compensation:

• Hourly/Non-Exempt: Starting at $28.50, Depending on experience.
• Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Weekend Differential: This position receives base hourly pay along with an extra $10.00 for each hour worked on weekends (Saturday).
