What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at One Day At a Time?
Position Summary:
Liaison between managers, community, and students. This includes guided research for high school students focusing on substance abuse. Communication with students and community. Processing of information from multiple sources and tracking data collection. This position oversees, pilot and insures grant initiatives. Empowers Youth to have a voice through research on substance abuse and its effects at any level, as well as supports in presenting this to the community to create a positive change. The primary target population for this project are High School students. This position reports to and receives direction from the Executive Director and Development Manager. Oversee a youth coordinator for your support.
The candidate must be highly independent, demonstrate the capacity to work with little supervision. The candidate will be based out of our Brentwood office, and able to work from home and communities on site.
Responsibilities:
- · Planning and supervising activities and research.
- · Develop and execute project plans.
- Research and project justification
- The design and implementation of outreach strategies
- Project evaluation
- Ensure the achievement and success of project milestones.
- Recruit and manage volunteers to support project activities.
- Develop and oversee data collection and analysis for project evaluation.
- Provide a leadership or supportive role in the design and implementation of this project.
- All other projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and leadership skills.
- Self-starter with the skills to work independently with minimal to no supervision.
- · Ability to participate in community events.
- · Basic knowledge of computers.
- · Understand and promote ODAT’s culture of youth empowerment
- · Ability to clear a Live-Scan fingerprint background check and complete Mandated Reporter Training within the first week of being hired.
- · Experience in doing community research
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience working with underserved youth and/or adults.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Google Documents a plus.
- Experience working with youth ranging from middle school to high school age.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)

The hourly range for this position $40 per hour. This is a part-time position (20 hours). Some evenings and weekends required on occasion, but the general work schedule is Monday through Friday.
