Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Intact Family Support Specialist to join our team in Effingham, IL. The ideal candidate will provide support and services to families in crisis to help maintain family unity and prevent out-of-home placement of children. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing counseling and support services, and collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure the well-being of the family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine family needs and strengths
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address identified issues
- Provide counseling and support services to families in crisis
- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to coordinate services
- Monitor progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Advocate for families to ensure they receive the support and resources they need
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field
- Previous experience working with families in crisis preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of community resources and support services
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
