What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at One Stop Aquatic Safety LLC?
Perform lifeguard surveillance of the aquatic area around. Provide services for large groups, including children, monitoring both visually and audibly to ensure safety, facility rules, and health standards.
Duties will include but are not limited to enforcing rules, and regulations governing the use of facilities, preventing injury or loss of life, and administering first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation as necessary. Lifeguards are responsible for assisting with routine aquatic maintenance and custodial duties and other tasks as assigned by supervisors. Work schedules will vary.
Lifeguard Requirements:
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must be a strong swimmer
- Must hold American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies
- Must carry out the duties, direction, and assignments as requested by the Lead Lifeguard/Supervisor.
- Must be able to work weekends and public holidays as needed
- Must be able to perform lifeguard prerequisites (500-meter swim, 5 minutes treading water, etc.)
