As the Fixture Design Project Lead, you’ll play a vital role in managing and coordinating fixture-related projects for retail locations, ensuring quality, consistency, and innovation align with brand standards.
What You’ll Do
Lead Fixture Design Projects:
- Manage all aspects of fixture design and development, from concept to implementation.
- Collaborate closely with fixture vendors to understand manufacturing methods, materials, and finishes while maintaining quality and functionality.
- Conduct detailed reviews of manufacturing drawings and fixture samples to ensure adherence to high standards.
- Drive deliverables and timelines through proactive communication with vendors, including regular meetings and prototype reviews.
Solve Problems and Maintain Standards:
- Apply problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure fixture testing labs remain organized and functional, managing inventory, sample reviews, and maintenance.
- Partner with teams on Proof of Concept (POC) store visits to evaluate production quality and ensure prototypes meet expectations.
Collaborate Across Teams:
- Work with internal partners, including Strategic Sourcing, Store Project Planning, and Merchandising, to support fixture initiatives and align goals.
- Assist with Direct Import fixture reviews and provide updates to relevant stakeholders as needed.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements in fixture design and development.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and technical advancements, contributing to fixture design best practices.
What You’ll Bring
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in retail, business, or a design-related field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in a retail, corporate, or design setting.
- 1-3 years of experience with fixture and/or furniture management, design, or testing.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review renderings and manufacturer drawings/details.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of ADA code is a plus.
