We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Associate Director to drive the engineering and delivery of strategic initiatives around contact center used by OneMain's Branch and Central operations. As an Associate Director of Software Engineering, you will oversee a team of more than 10 engineers and play a critical role in driving the success of a cutting-edge project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, preferably contact center solutions, and be highly skilled in people, project, and stakeholders' management. You will lead and manage one or more agile development teams, collaborate on cross-organization initiatives, and partner with peers and leaders across organizational boundaries. Additionally, you will establish credibility as an engineer, coach, and leader to foster technical innovation and the use of advanced techniques and technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring that products are defined, architected, implemented, delivered, and supported in alignment with organizational strategy, goals, and standards. Furthermore, you will provide clear and timely communication and effective coordination with stakeholders to ensure risks, issues, and changes are well managed. In this role, you will also be responsible for building and developing high-performing, self-organizing agile development teams that deliver business value rapidly, predictably, and with a high-quality work product. You will assess and instrument software engineering and/or other practices to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement (kaizen) in engineering practices, operational efficiency, time to value, and product quality. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading complex projects, managing distributed teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
