Salary : $24.00 - $35.00 per hour

What you'll do as a Tool Room Machinist :

The Toolroom Machinist will be responsible for working in a high-precision tooling environment, where they will program, set up, and operate various types of Toolroom equipment to fabricate tooling components based on CAD models.

Toolroom Machinist II Responsibilities :

  • Program WEDM
  • Set up WEDM
  • Operate WEDM
  • Surface grind to required tolerances
  • Perform WEDM maintenance
  • Accurately complete paperwork related to the components being produced

Work Experience

Qualifications for Toolroom Machinist :

  • Technical degree or comparable experience
  • 5 years of experience in machining precision parts
  • Develop programs for WEDM using Esprit CAM software
  • Set up WEDM machines to run CAM-generated programs and produce components according to print specifications
  • Set up and use toolroom measurement equipment
  • Perform surface grinding to meet required tolerances
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software, with a focus on SolidWorks

    • Preferred Qualifications for Toolroom Machinist :

  • Expertise in Mastercam, Esprit, and SolidWorks
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing
  • Proficient in learning and navigating various NC machine interfaces (e.g., Fanuc, Agie, Charmilles, Accurite)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Lean principles and toolroom process flow
