What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Site Coordinator position at Onslow County?
Performs intermediate human support work coordinating the preparation and the serving of meals and maintaining the kitchen at the Sneads Ferry location, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the close supervision of the Senior Site Supervisor. Leadership is provided to volunteers.

- Coordinates nutrition program for senior citizens; provides in-house and home-delivered meals in accordance with federal and state statutes.
- Schedules and supervises volunteers to ensure program is conducted in accordance with Federal, state, and local requirements.
- Performs all administrative duties of the nutrition site.
- Maintains a clean, comfortable, and safe environment.
- Maintains inventory of food and paper products.
- Coordinates activities and special events for seniors.
- Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member, if appointed or volunteer.
- Performs related work as required.
Thorough knowledge of the techniques and methods used in the care of kitchen utensils and equipment; thorough knowledge of the nutrition values of various food groups; ability to plan and supervise the work of volunteers; ability to calculate food quantities and servings for senior citizens; ability to use computers and software; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
High school diploma or GED and considerable experience in serving food and coordinating activities with older adults, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
Valid driver's license.Salary will be determined based on qualifications, internal equity, budget, and market considerations.
