Description
The Perioperative Facility Attendant performs a variety of technical, environmental and patient care
duties under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or Nurse Manager. These duties are
performed in accordance with established SurgiCare and Organizational Policies.
Qualifications
1. High school education or equivalent education preferred. Job requires the ability to read, write, and speak English.
2. Previous hospital experience preferred or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Ability to get along with others.
5. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
6. Ability to complete tasks as delegated by OR staff.
7. Previous experience with environmental cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment..
8. Basic mechanical knowledge for assembly, minor maintenance and operation of equipment relevant to position.
9. Knowledge of health care facility cleaning practices.
10. Knowledge of operating room procedures and practices
11. Knowledge of infection prevention and experience
