Ontic’s Creedmoor, NC, site is home to a number of specialist companies within the Ontic Group, including Firstmark, Twin Commander, and Metro Merlin. With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace.

Our team is looking for an Expeditor to join them. You will report to the Procurement Manager and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, NC.

To be considered for the Expeditor opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field is an advantage
• 3 years of strategic purchasing experience
• Experience in the aerospace industry is an advantage
• Proven negotiation skills
• Strong business acumen, agile in way of working
• Desire to work in a collaborative team towards a common purpose
  
  

As An Expeditor, You Will

• Maintain accurate promise dates in ERP reflective of latest supplier commitments
• Expedite purchase orders needed to fulfill work orders
• Work with various departments to coordinate and expedite receiving inspection, kitting, and outside operations
• Coordinate with procurement team to set priorities regarding orders placed, pending, or in transit
• Ensure system is updated with current promise dates and production status planning tool(s) are maintained to ensure visibility throughout the organization
• Perform stock checks as requested from planning and engineering teams
• Work with the planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure MRP/ERP data remains clean and accurate
• Assist with resolution of incorrect system data
• Determine work around options for issues that may delay production as required
• Work with outside vendors to create/establish production and delivery schedules that align with the production schedule
• Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range

• $60,000- $70,000/year, based on experience
