Job Summary: The Direct Care is responsible for working within integrated, inter-professional teams to provide direct care services to families and individuals impacted by opioid and substance use disorders. The primary role of this position will be to provide child watch services at residential facility during parents’ group or individual counseling sessions. Provide age-appropriate activities and maintain safe, supportive, clean space at all times.

Essential Functions:
- Provide age-appropriate activity at each session for children 6 months – 5 years
- Create and maintain a clean, safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children
- Interact with clients and other staff in a professional manner at all times. Model healthy boundaries and interpersonal communication skills
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings
- Follow all established agency policy and protocol
- Complete required documentation
- Develop skills to co-facilitate and lead effective group experiences with CADC I/II.
- Assess and diagnose treatment needs for the assigned client groups.
- Develop individualized treatment plans.
- Ability to establish empathy with individuals during their recovery process.
- Implement and maintain strong professional boundaries.
- Participate in staff meetings and training opportunities.
- Track and record activities on case management logs and in EHR.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all forms, assessments.
- Ability to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds, including those with a criminal background.
- Ability to focus on and reinforce positive strengths and behaviors.
- Able to perform tasks that include shift work, client transportation, facilitating life skills, medication administration, case management, light housekeeping, and or/cooking in a residential facility.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Proof of valid Oregon driver’s license.
- Approved background check and drug screen results as expected.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in health care or human services environments (preferred).
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Associate degree or combination of education, experience, and skills.
