Reports To: Human Resource Manager



Job Summary:

The responsibilities of the Recruiter are to ensure our company attracts, hires and retains the best team members. Develop recruiting strategies in support of organizational staffing objectives. Execute recruiting strategies to deliver suitable job candidates for assigned positions


Essential Functions:

  • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job locations
  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
  • Source and recruit candidates
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications
  • Administer appropriate company assessments
  • Perform reference and background checks
  • Make recommendations to company hiring managers
  • Maintain relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved
  • Communicate employer information and benefits during screening process
  • Remain current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Perform in-person and phone interviews with candidates
  • Coordinate interviews with the hiring managers
  • Follow up on the interview process status
  • Determine applicant qualifications by analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate
  • Establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.
  • Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.
  • Understand current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting training.
  • Conduct exit interviews on terminating team members

Credentials and Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Recruiter
  • Familiarity with HR databases
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS)
  • BS in Human Resources Management or relevant experience

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
  • Position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
