Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Editor III to join their Marketing Operations Material Review team. This role is integral to ensuring the quality, accuracy, and conformance of all advertising, promotional, disease awareness, and promotional labeling material to company standards and guidelines.
Location: Hybrid in Mettawa, IL (3 days onsite)
1 year contract
Rate: $40.00-$45.00/hour
As an Editor III, your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and editing promotional and sales training materials across various media for factual and grammatical accuracy, clarity of message, thoroughness, and compliance with company standards/guidelines
- Proofreading pharmaceutical promotional materials for both consumer and professional audiences
- Comparing original text and images to final approved versions, using an electronic routing system and online annotations
- Validating materials for adherence to standards/guidelines and confirming the presence of linked references
- Performing final content review of production files to ensure alignment with approved documents and conducting basic functional tests for interactive pieces
- Collaborating with Marketing Operations, Medical, Regulatory, and Project Owners to address inconsistencies between final copy and approved versions
- Managing priorities with flexibility to meet deadlines
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in reading comprehension, grammar, and sentence structure
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well with others
- The ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and comply with business needs, policies, and guidelines
- Strong attention to detail
- 3 years of editing/proofreading experience or equivalent
- Knowledge of AMA style
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Veeva PromoMats, and DocuProof
Preferred qualifications include
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline
- Prior experience in marketing, and communication or advertising agency, and an understanding of medical terminology.
