Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide support with mobility and transferring clients as needed.
- Help clients with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Monitor and document client health status, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with care plans.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams using systems such as Cerner, Epic, or eClinicalWorks for effective patient care management.
- Support individuals in home community care settings, fostering independence while ensuring safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in personal care or related fields such as emergency medicine or long-term care is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems like Cerner, Epic, or eClinicalWorks is a plus.
- Knowledge of patient care protocols within a Level II Trauma Center environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals who have disabilities or require specialized assistance.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
