Responsibilities
- Respond to calls regarding stray or injured animals and assess situations for appropriate action.
- Capture and transport animals safely to shelters or veterinary facilities.
- Enforce local animal control laws and regulations, including issuing citations when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of animal control activities, including reports on captured animals and public interactions.
- Educate the community about responsible pet ownership, licensing requirements, and animal welfare issues.
- Collaborate with local shelters, veterinarians, and other organizations to promote animal adoption and care.
- Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about animal control services.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of employment labor law and contract management related to animal control operations.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft and Kronos for managing schedules and employee evaluations.
- Experience with organization design and process improvement initiatives within an animal control context.
- Familiarity with SAP for data management related to animal control activities.
