Position Summary:
You have the opportunity to give our donors a meaningful way to give to the fight against human trafficking by engaging donors in our work! As a Development Manager you will be tasked with stewarding donors that give a total of $10,000 or more in either individual donations or through ongoing gifts throughout the year. You will be instrumental in fostering impactful relationships with our major individual donors. Your primary responsibilities include increasing the giving amount of current major donors, identifying new potential major donors, cultivating strategic partnerships, and ensuing a high level of engagement. The successful candidate will also collaborate with internal teams to enhance the donor experience and contribute to the achievement of fundraising goals.
- Major Donor Cultivation:
- Identify and prioritize potential major individual donors.
- Implement plans to meet strategic growth initiatives and cultivate and strengthen relationships with major donors through phone calls, emails, electronic and face-to-face meetings.
- Solicit annual gifts from current and potential donors
- Facilitate the movement of major gift prospects through the donor continuum including the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
- Create and present quality proposals of $100,000 and more.
- Leverage gathered contact information from current donors to identify new donors and build relationships leading to financial contributions towards the mission of O.U.R.
- Personalized Communication and Stewardship:
- Establish and maintain ongoing, personalized communications with major donors.
- Implement stewardship initiatives to express gratitude and ensure a deep understanding of the impact of their contributions.
- Reporting and Impact Assessment:
- Utilize CRM to track all interactions with existing and prospective donors, inputting opportunity stages, and managing pipeline of gift asks.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of comprehensive reports to major donors, highlighting the tangible impact of their support.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant data for detailed impact assessments.
- Manage weekly and monthly reports provide updates and briefings on opportunities in all stages, funnel forecast predictions, and KPIs on activities.
- Event Participation:
- Work closely with internal staff to invite donors to well-thought out experiences for them to gain a deeper understanding of our mission.
- Engage donors and contribute to the success of major donor-focused events.
5. Fundraising Goal Support:
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to contribute to the achievement of overall organizational fundraising goals.
- Achieve a personal annual fundraising goal of $1,000,000
- Expectation of a 20% increase year over year.
- Strengthen and grow existing relationships while actively seeking opportunities to expand and diversify the major donor base.
Qualifications:
- Passion for O.U.R.'s mission to combat child exploitation and human trafficking.
- Bachelor's degree or experience in a related field with a track record of success.
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in donor relations, major donor engagement, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work evening and weekends as required.
