Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and management of water and wastewater treatment facilities, collections, distribution, and customer service-related duties. This role requires excellent communication skills, hands-on work experience, and the ability to make sound decisions in process control.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operations and management of all water, wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities
- Implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program
- Administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects
- Emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, and alarm events
- Provision of requested/required operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and municipality
- Management and oversight of a large Capital Improvement Plan
- Collaborate with engineers on future planning and ongoing construction administration
- Attend council meetings and present project update presentations
- Provide client relations
- Promote and develop staff members
- Working with the Health and Safety Team on all safety-related issues
Requirements:
- A valid State of Florida Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or equivalent field is preferred; equivalent work experience, or combination of work and education, may be substituted
- 5 to 10 years' experience in managing complex water and/or wastewater facilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
MUST HAVES FOR ROLE:
- Utility Pants: Employees must wear durable utility pants suitable for the work environment
- Safety Shoes: Steel-toed or other appropriate safety shoes are mandatory to protect against workplace hazards
- Candidates must consent to and pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
