What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Laborer/Landscape Equipment Operator position at Opp Construction?
1. now and comply with the company’s safety rules, policies and OSHA regulations including injury/incident/near miss reporting procedures. Bring problems to attention of Foreman, Supervisor, Superintendent, Safety Director, or Human Resource Manager.
2. Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls.
3. Landscape new lawns to estimator’s and customers specifications.
4. Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes.
5. Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
6. Plant and water trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass.
7. Mix and spray or spread fertilizers onto grass, shrubs, and trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
8. Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
9. Make road calls to do warranty work as assigned by foreman.
10. Operate hydroseeder as necessary (skilled).
11. Relate to the public and to customers in a professional, courteous and respectful manner, appropriately responding to their complaints.
