About the Position:
Opportune is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join its current HR Team. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Handle pre-hire requirements and onboarding process.
- Process bi-weekly payroll utilizing ADP software.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns and escalating issues as needed.
- Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain and update HR records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support performance management processes, including performance reviews and employee development programs.
- Assist with 401k administration including enrollments, updates, rollovers, plan audits, and compliance.
- Manage the issuance of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for employees, ensuring compliance with sponsorship requirements and tracking participation.
- Provide day-to-day HR operational support that is timely, reliable, dependable and accurate.
- Handle other duties and special projects, as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 1.5 to 2 years of HR related experience required
- Experience with ADP preferred, but not required
- Broad knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must have strong professional presence
- Ability to work with all levels of management and employees
- Computer literacy including MS Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
- Exceptional time-management, planning, and administrative skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills to identify appropriate resolution for routine and non-routine issues
- High degree of energy, self-motivation, and flexibility
