What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Intern - Deposit Services position at Opportunities at Towne?
Essential Responsibilities:
- Review Stop Suspect report
- Process mail returns including customer contact for validation
- Process all deposit fee refunds
- Process deposit correction fees
- Work stale dated cashier’s checks and prepare letters for members
- Provide phone support to the branches
- Obey all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
- All other duties assigned by the supervisor
Summer Internship Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have completed at least one year of college and currently enrolled in college
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, May 19th through early-mid August
- Punctual and dependable
- Works well in a team environment
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Basic Computer Skills
- Detailed oriented and willing to help others
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Previous banking or finance experience
Physical Requirements:
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
- Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
