Administrative Assistant - Mental Health Clinic
JOB HIGHLIGHTS
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in secretarial science, adminisrative assistant or related field
- Two years of office experience
- Equivalent combination of training and experience in lieu of education also accepted
- Strong Microsoft knowledge
- Proficiency in Excel a must
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for answering and routing calls, taking messages to gather necessary information
- Greeting clinic visitors/patients
- Perform general clinic office functions
- Support all on-site clinic locations with general office functions
- Enter and update patient demographics in patient tracking system
- Verify insurance cards and eligibility information
- Collect payments (co-pay) at the time of service and/or collect past balances from patients as needed
- Schedule, enter and update patient appointments
- Maintain patient files
- Keep referral lists/intake packets, therapy paperwork, financial intake and clinical documentation in compliance with audits and state guidelines

Schedule:
- Typical schedule is Monday-Friday
- Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Wed – 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
