Join the Opportunity House team and make a difference in the lives of others! Caring and compassionate individuals are needed to work with clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings (group homes) located in DeKalb & Sycamore, IL.
House Managers at Opportunity House are invaluable to our mission to help people with developmental disabilities work, live in homes of their choice, and enjoy community life. House Manager duties include but are not limited to:
· Managing the general operations of a group home; including staff management/delegation, ensure the health and safety of staff and clients, etc.
· Determining needs for staff, equipment, supplies and ensuring proper maintenance of clients’ rooms, building, grounds and vehicles.
· Maintaining timely and accurate records.
All House Managers must be trained as Direct Support Professionals; Opportunity House will provide you with all the necessary training to succeed! DSP training is provided online and is flexible and paid! Once you successfully complete DSP training, you will be added to the Illinois Healthcare Workers Registry as a DSP as well!
Requirements:
· Must be 18 year or older.
· High school diploma or GED.
· Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
· Personal vehicle to use on company business if needed.
· Be registered as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and be approved by our Nurse (RN) Trainer to administer medications within three months of employment.
· Management experience preferred. Skilled in use of Microsoft Office.
· Must be able to pass required background checks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
