Opportunity Stanislaus is helping Ross F Carroll/Roland Construction Inc. recruit a Construction Intern.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Construction Intern to join our construction team. In the role of a Construction Intern, you'll get an opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to active construction projects. Working with our team, you will assist in various construction projects, from takeoff to close out. You will gain first-hand exposure to construction operations, workforce management, and safety procedures. Being a part of our team will allow you to explore your talents, dive into project

management, and learn about construction tools real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in project planning and execution.
• Attend site visits and meetings under the supervision of the project team.
• Utilize software programs and templates to process, distribute, track and update all project documentation.
• Utilize software programs and templates to process, distribute, track and update all project documentation. Compile Data into comprehensive reports.
• Execute take-offs using On-Screen, while working closely with a Project Manager, to create a rough estimate as per the directive of the Owner.
• Reach out to a potential list bidders & create a Bid Binder and log all trade contractor bidding documentation.
• File all shop drawings, submittals, RFls, schedules and punch lists into the appropriate job folder.
• Communicate and implement submittal procurement requirements to the Project Manager.
• Develop and log all submittals.
• Review contract documents for submittal requirements.
• Prepare RFls.
• Attend site meetings.
• Facilitate the close-out process.
• Enhance your skills with the use of modern construction software tools and technologies.
  
  

Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management degree.
• Basic knowledge of construction methods and regulations.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive and keen to take initiative.
• Good proficiency with MS Office Suite; familiarity with CAD or similar software is a bonus.
• Comfortability with regular communication with internal and external constituents.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction and/or company sponsorship.
