POSITION SUMMARY: The primary duties of the front desk staff are to provide exceptional patient care and promote excellent customer service throughout each patient’s appointment. Ensuring all patient and exam information is correct for authorizing insurance, and maintaining accurate records, and delivering positive patient communication.
Employee Responsibilities: This individual must be able to perform each duty in a timely manner, stay on task and remain organized, as well as cross train in the event we may need individual’s assistance in another area.
· Greet patients with a smile
· Efficiently check-in and out patients – verifying patient chart documentation, entering information into EHR system, collecting payments, scheduling
· Authorize vision insurance eligibility
· Calling/Answering patient phone calls and speak clearly over the phone with pleasant voice
· Email/Fax patient charts with other practices
· Place contact lens orders
· Learn to operate the equipment within the practice
· Maintain a clean front desk and office area
· Perform various other tasks/responsibilities given by Office Manager and Doctor
Additional Responsibilities: Depending upon patient volume and or staffing availability you may be required to help in the following areas.
· Optical
· Pre-testing
Education and/or Experience:
· High school graduate, or equivalent
· Previous optical experience preferred, willing to train.
· Front desk/receptionist experience preferred, willing to train
· Pay based upon experience

Location: Kearney, Nebraska
· Starting wage will depend upon experience
· PTO after the first year of employment
