What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Orange Blossom Classic?
SUMMARY: As the Project Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of all projects, ensuring deliverables align with the Organization’s strategic vision. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget to produce the Orange Blossom Football Classic and corresponding events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Assist in planning, organizing, and management of the production of the Orange Blossom Football Classic and its ancillary events.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to develop and execute creative concepts, campaigns, and collateral related to marketing, ticket sales, sponsorship and event production.
- Maintain project timelines, schedules, and status reports to ensure clear communication between stakeholders.
- Oversee and provide status updates for project timelines in the areas of marketing, sponsorship, events, ticket operations, team and game operations.
- Support the review and approval process for creative deliverables, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and quality standards.
- Work with the sponsorship, events department, game operations department and other internal departments to ensure timelines and deliverables are adhered to in the areas of sponsorship fulfillment, event planning, marketing, and game operations.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or roadblocks, escalating issues as needed.
- Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of event projects.
- Utilize project management tools to track deliverables and manage resources effectively.
- Conduct research and gather insights to inform project planning and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years of experience in project management, preferably within the sports and event production space
- Bachelor’s degree
- Highly organized and attention to detail. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Proofreading skills required
- Experience in conducting productive team meetings and experience communicating with Fortune 100 executives
- Demonstrated record of project management achievement
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, cloud-based programs (Google Docs, Zoom, Dropbox, etc.) Photoshop and Publisher a plus
- Must be available to work all EVENTS game days (weekdays and some weekends), long hours weeks leading up to Classic week
- Other tasks as assigned by Director of Operations and Executive Director
· Preferably possess a strong understanding of collegiate sports and event production
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
· Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, etc.)
· Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work
WE’D LOVE IF YOU ALSO HAVE THESE QUALIFICATIONS: · Experience working on large-scale events or global campaigns.
· Passion for sports and familiarity with Historically Black Colleges and Universities
· Creative problem-solving skills, self-starter and a proactive approach to project management.
Note:
· Must be willing to work 40 hours a week with overtime as necessary
· Must possess a valid driver’s license
