What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Patient Access Representative position at Orange City Area Health System?
Description: The Patient Access Representative is responsible for answering the phone, registering patients, and conducting basic office duties such as copying, typing, assembling and other duties as assigned. This position will work in the Orange City Medical Clinic, and a high level of customer service is required.
Number of Hours: Full-time: approx. 32 hours/week
Schedule: Monday 8:30am - 5:00pm, Wednesday, 7:30am – 4:00pm, Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, and Friday starting between 7:00am – 8:30am and ending between 3:30pm – 5:00pm. Saturday morning rotation. 7:45am – 12pm (approx. 4 a year). Available to fill in shifts.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Customer Service and Office/Computer experience required.
Other: The applicant must work well with patients in the utmost professional and confidential manner. This person must be able to work under stress, handling a large amount of phone calls and patient encounters. He/she must have an attention to detail and strong organizational skills and computer skills are required. Ability to work with the public in a pleasant and professional manner is a must.
