The Neighborhood Services Division strives to engage and strengthen neighborhoods in Orange County through encouraging compliance with the relevant codes, neighborhood planning, community development, and outreach.
The Neighborhood Services Division is seeking a highly qualified professional to fill the position of Program Coordinator to assist with administering the division’s grant or outreach programs. This is professional and administrative work planning, coordinating and managing the various programs of a department. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Program Manager of other supervisor. Work is reviewed for the achievement of desired results through conferences and reports.

Representative Duties/Assignments
Program Coordinator for Grants
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in Public Services, Human Resource Services, Business, Public Administration or a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.
Preferences
Experience working with neighborhoods, civic, or nonprofit organizations.

- Assist with outreach to market the grants
- Shepherding grants through the approval process
- Working with residents and vendors to implement projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist with administering the division’s outreach programs to include workshops, community cleanups, etc.
- Attend community meetings in the evenings, and occasionally attend community events on the weekends
- Perform other duties as assigned
