Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist the Orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient appointments and follow-up communications effectively.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as medical coding and insurance verification when necessary.
- Support pediatric patients with care and comfort during their visits.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in all aspects of dental assisting.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control practices, and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Familiarity with dental software systems .
- Understanding of Orthodontic procedures well.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to best practices in dentistry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
