Qualifications & Skills
- 3-5 years of experience overseeing operations and personnel across multiple departments during a full shift in a high-output production setting.
- 3-5 years of experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) within a custom production or manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, production schedules, and reports.
- Experience enforcing company and safety policies to ensure full compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Experience in production management and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across all organizational levels, from direct reports and peer supervisors to key stakeholders (directors, CEO, owner).
- Experience creating, analyzing, and presenting reports using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to inform production management decisions.
- Preferred: Experience in metal fabrication and/or a strong understanding of welding/fabrication processes.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and motivate the production team, providing leadership, development, and performance management.
- Oversee daily production, including troubleshooting, problem-solving, resource allocation, and tracking/reporting production metrics.
- Ensure product quality through collaboration with the quality team, enforcement of safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, monitor KPIs, encourage employee involvement, and ensure effective shift communication and production reporting.
- Maintain a smooth production transition between shifts, ensuring equipment and work-in-progress are ready for quick startup.
- Communicate effectively with the other Production Supervisor at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and effective execution of production goals.
- Enforce company safety and other policies for all employees.
- Read and analyze blueprints, work orders, production schedules, and other records/reports to determine production requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for production-related concerns and issues.
Schedule & Pay
- Monday - Thursday: 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM
- Hours may vary slightly due to business needs; mandatory Fridays as needed.
- Salary is competitive and comparable to industry standards.
