What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machine Operator position at Organ Supply Industries, Inc.?
Organ Supply Industries, Inc. is North America's largest and most complete wholesale manufacturer and supplier of pipe organ related parts and materials.
Responsibilities include operation of two CNC machining centers in a fast- paced environment feeding multiple areas of the manufacturing shop floor. One center is 5 axis, while the other employs 4 axis. Both machines are of a flat table configuration, with drill heads in addition to the main spindle. Mechanical abilities for maintenance and repair are critical to the position. Knowledge of CAD, CAM, Windows, and G-CODE are essential skills of the successful candidate. Understanding both panel processing and solid wood is helpful, allowing recognition of best tools and tool paths for the work to be accomplished. Most files have machining in place from our design department, but many are needed as one-off over the course of any given day. Potential candidate will be organized, have excellent communication skills, and a healthy attention to detail. The successful candidate will also possess the willingness to learn from an experienced operator.
