About Our Company
Orono Spectral Solutions is a small, angel and venture-funded company commercializing University of Maine technology to enhance the world's ability to detect contaminants.
We sell patented breakthrough sampling technology that captures oil and other contaminants from water and other fluids, enabling precise measurement using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) instruments.
Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CEO to drive sales growth and expansion.
- Cultivate new business opportunities by highlighting the commercial and technical benefits of our product line.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with FTIR manufacturers and their distributors.
- Contribute to the development of sales and technical materials for customers, incorporating innovative approaches.
- Participate in creating new applications to meet customer needs.
- Support the creation of marketing campaigns and materials.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1-3 years of sales experience in specialty technical products.
- A university degree in chemistry or a related science.
- Desirable: experience with FTIR units.
